1990

A future piano teacher is born

One late night in March, I make my entrance into the world.

My full name is Nikolas Nelson Nuñez, born to my parents who have been married 34 years now. Incredible people and even better parents.

I start taking piano lessons

I began wondering why I needed sheet music to play. Secretly, I would find and use patterns to play my classical pieces successfully. Sneaky, I know...hehe...

2002

I start playing in Church

This is where I fell in love with piano and learned how to play with creativity, feeling & emotion. No sheet music, just chords and rhythm.

2005

I begin teaching adults how to play like me

Adults from Church ask me to teach them my secrets. Within my first year of teaching, I had over 30 adult students.

Early 2008

I quit piano lessons

I've been trained and competed classically for over 10 years. I've also figured out a better way to teach adults how to flow and improvise without needing sheet music.

Late 2008

Launch my website

I need to share my teaching methods with the world. So, I paid a developer $1,000 to create my first website and I begin selling my first online course.

2011

Start my YouTube channel

As a way to expose more adults to my methods, I begin uploading free snippets of my teaching online.

2013

Earn a degree in Civil Engineering

My backup plan is in full effect. Work my engineering day job to make money then at night, work on my website and online course.

2016

I get married

The best teammate.

2017

Quit Civil Engineering To Teach Piano Online

My website and online course gain traction and allow me to teach piano online full-time. My 10,000^th student enrolls in my online course.

2021

My student list is skyrocketing

And the best part is, I'm doing what I love and figured out a way to help adults get real results. I love teaching piano.
